For Your Information

Housing

Housing assignments will be sent to you mid-April.

If you and someone else in the program would like to stay together, you must each put the other’s name down on the Program Member Informational Form. Most members of the program will be staying in the Kettering College Dorm; however, we may possibly use other housing as well.

Transportation

Travel to here

Flights – For program members who are not bringing a vehicle, we will pay for your flight from where you are to Kettering and also cover your airport pickup. You can purchase your flight and be reimbursed for the price of your ticket a few weeks after your arrival, or we can book and pay for your flight. To arrange us booking your flight, call Savannah Torkelsen at 937-762-1402. We will begin booking travel late-February.

You'll want to fly into the Dayton International Airport (DAY) in Dayton, Ohio. Move-in day is Tuesday, May 7, 2019. You must check-in at Kettering between 10:00am and 6:00pm, May 7. Because of the timeframe, we recommend you book a flight that arrives no later than 4:00pm that day.

Individuals coming for orientation then heading back to finish your school semester, we will pay for your roundtrip flight to orientation and back to school and also for your flight back to Kettering at the start of your internship, if you are not bringing a vehicle.

Gas – For those of you driving cars to Kettering, you will be reimbursed at a rate of $0.58/mile. To bereimbursed for your travel expenses, you must print a Google map with your starting location and destination (3737 Southern Blvd, Kettering, OH 45429) to be included with your Employee Reimbursement form when you arrive. You will see the reimbursement added to your pay check.

Travel while here

You are responsible for your own transportation during the course of the program. We strongly recommend you bring a vehicle. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.
